Louise Gribbons

"The Day We Spring-Cleaned The World"

Louise Gribbons has been an English teacher at Hunterhouse College, Belfast for 18 years. She has always loved reading and writing and is rarely found without a book in her hand.

Having worked with young people for so long, Louise enjoys writing for a younger audience and, while she has written stories for teen and adult readers, her favourite literary creations are those aimed at young readers.

Louise loves using rhyme and fairy tale elements to show that ordinary life is often extraordinary! Following the reaction to her poem, “The Day We Spring-Cleaned the World”, she is excited to share more of her poetry with young readers.

Louise is currently working with illustrators, publishers and animators to consider a variety of ways to bring her words to life and cannot wait to share more with you and your loved ones!
